International program of PJSC Gazprom "Football for friendship" became the winner of the IABC Gold Quill Awards 2016

International youth program of PJSC Gazprom "Football for friendship" became the winner of the prize of the International Association of business communicators IABC Gold Quill Awards 2016 in the category "Corporate social responsibility". The programme is being implemented since 2013 and so far covered 34 countries in Asia, America, Africa and Europe. Global program operator in all countries performs Communication group AGT (Russia).

IABC Gold Quill Awards for more than 40 years to celebrate excellence in strategic communications worldwide. The winners of the prize become the most vibrant, innovative and relevant to society communication projects.

"Football for friendship" - a large-scale international programme with an ever-expanding geography. During the implementation the program has acquired more than 250,000 supporters around the world. The main goal of the program is the promotion of values important for the well-being of any society. Children, members of "Football for friendship", not only learn these values, but also become young ambassadors, to promote them among their peers and acquaintances. The program actively supporting UEFA and FIFA leading soccer clubs of the world, sports federations, public organizations, administrations and governments.

More 40 years the award of the International Association of business communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Awards celebrates the best projects in the field of strategic communication worldwide.

International children's social project "Football for friendship" is implemented by PJSC "Gazprom" in the framework of the program "Gazprom — to children". The aim of the project is the development of youth football, the education of tolerance and respect for different cultures and ethnicities in children from different countries. Core values that support and promote members, friendship, equality, justice, health, peace, loyalty, victory, tradition, and honor.
The main event of the project is the annual international children's forum "Football for friendship", which brings together the players of the leading football clubs in age from 12 to 14 years. The first forum was held on 25 may 2013 in London.

Special award of the project "Football for friendship" — the Cup of nine values. This unique trophy, which annually is awarded to one professional football clubs for the implementation of social initiatives, embodying the values of the project. The winner chosen young ambassadors of the project by voting which takes place in all the countries-participants of the "Football for friendship".

During the forum "Football for friendship" the young players have the opportunity to network with their peers from other countries, as well as with famous athletes and artists. After the conference, project participants traditionally attend the final match of the UEFA Champions League.

In 2016 for the fourth season of the program "Football for friendship", attended by children from 32 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, great Britain, Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Japan.
